Rewarding Trip
I spent 3 days and 2 nights at this great bed and breakfast with a lifelong friend. We were there looking at properties in the Quemado area. The rooms were very new, clean and nicely decorated. Katharina and Marcial were a real treat to spend time with before going to sleep each evening and also gave us plenty of privacy. I highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area!
We arrived at Casa Azul in the evening after a rather challenging travel day. Katrina, the owner, made us feel immediately at home. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean, so comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed a lovely evening sitting in the living room talking with Katrina and another guest. We also could’ve sat quietly in our room if we had chosen to, as it was large and private. Breakfast was delicious! My husband and I have been traveling constantly for nine years. I can honestly say that Casa Azul was the most warm and comfortable place we have experienced. We will definitely return to enjoy hiking in the beautiful surrounding red rocks. Thank you so much Katrina!

Quemodo is about as ‘middle of nowhere’ as you can get, and Casa Azul is a great place to enjoy that solitude. The home is beautiful, the breakfast was amazing, and the hosts were great. A definite gem
. My wife and three Whippets needed a place to stay near Pie Town for the annual Pie Festival. Casa Azul was perfection! Finding a place that accepts three dogs, let alone without an exorbitant pet fee isn't easy anywhere but Casa Azul really is super pet friendly and no fee at all! The room was clean, comfortable and had every needed accessory; WiFi, bottled water, it's own bathroom and two amazing hosts and their wonderful pets. Staying here was like staying in a friends home. And the breakfast was outstanding! You'd easily spend $35-$40 alone for such a mea for two people,l but it's included in the incredibly affordable price per night. It was quiet at night even though the location is just off i60. Plenty of places to walk the dogs. Being a mere 20 minutes to Pie Town, this is an outstanding location if you're headed there. Katharina & Marcial, the owners are lovely people, super accommodating in every respect. We hope to visit now every year for the Pie Town pie festival and will look forward to our stay at Casa Azul. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Thank you Katharina & Marcial for being such lovely hosts and making our trip memorable
Could not have found a nicer, friendlier nor more comfortable place to stay than Casa Azul. Owner Katrina is just a wonderful hostess. Rooms comfy, quiet, great bedding and full value for the reasonable prices charged.
I would definitely come back to stay here again
I am glad I found this traditional Bed & Breakfast for our stay in Quemado! My girlfriend and I were in town to visit the lightning fields and were in search of a place to stay for the night prior. Being a smaller neighborhood, the only hotel that showed up was the largo motel, which while it seems great in its own right, I was glad that I kept looking and happened upon this lovely locale. From the moment I called to inquire about the B&B, Katharina was the personification of professionalism, hospitality and courtesy. She was super accommodating of our late arrival and was sure to provide all the information we needed to arrive at her place. She even had us call her when we were one town over just so that she could make sure that we were not lost and were still okay which is above and beyond. Upon arrival, she was nothing but lovely. The house is beautiful, the views picturesque and the rooms were very comfortable. She keeps a very clean place, and we had a restful night’s sleep. The next day, Katharina spoiled us to a delicious breakfast which was in my opinion, worth the slightly higher (although not ridiculous or unreasonable in the slightest) price of the stay on its own. She allowed my girlfriend and I the privacy we wanted when we wanted it, but also was pleasant to talk to when we sought to learn a little bit more about her. I cannot overestimate how much of a delight Katharina was. She allowed us to keep our additional car at her place while we visited the lightning fields and was sure to give us tips on the area near and far. I would definitely recommend staying with Katharina if you are ever in Quemado. The lightning field should also refer business her way because I thought that our stay there was the perfect lead in to
a unique experience at the lightning field. We got to meet her husband on the way out, and he is amazing as well...he does construction work at the age of 80 which is incredible! Thank you so much for the awesome stay and I hope we cross paths again!
